JERRY CHEN SECRETARY-GENERAL |
| Hometown: |
Plainsboro, NJ |
| Major:
| | Environmental Sciences and Policy, Political Science
Hey! I am excited to be your Secretary-General for DUMUNC XXVII! I am a senior double majoring in environmental sciences and policy and political science with a minor in classical civilization. Duke Model UN has been a large part of my life for the last four years and I enjoy every aspect of hosting and competing in conferences. This past summer, I worked for a non-profit environmental law firm in Chapel Hill. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and watching basketball and tennis, and crushing my colleagues at RISK. I look forward to DUMUNC XXVII, and if you see me around in February, please don't hesitate to say hi! Email: jerry.chen@duke.edu |

ANDREY FRADKIN DIRECTOR-GENERAL |
| Hometown: |
Fair Lawn, NJ |
| Major:
| | Economics, Mathematics
Hey! I have been doing Model UN since my sophomore year of high school. At Duke, I have worked hard to improve the conference every year. I believe that this year's conference will be the best Model UN conference Duke has ever had. I have spent the past two summers doing research in business economics. My academic interests lie primarily at the intersection of politics and the economics. Outside of school I enjoy playing basketball, philosophizing, and watching Lost. I look forward to a great conference. Email: andrey.fradkin@duke.edu |

JIN-SOO HUH CHIEF OF STAFF |
| Hometown: |
Rancho Cucamonga, CA |
| Major:
| | Public Policy, Political Science
I have been involved in Model UN since my freshman year of high school where I did mostly humanitarian committees. Along with Duke MUN, I've been involved in the UNAUSA's Global Classrooms program and had the privilege to chair a plenary session in the General Assembly hall. I'm also a tour guide and am part of the orientation student leadership. This past summer, I studied abroad in Paris and worked for the John Edwards campaign. I'm a huge tennis and baseball fan (go Dodgers). I look forward to working with you all soon! Email: jinsoo.huh@duke.edu |

Mumbai, India |
| Major:
| | Economics, Political Science
Hey everyone! I'm a sophomore at Duke, and I’m thrilled to be
your Deputy Chief of Staff for DUMUNC XXVII! I’ve lived all my life in
India, though I went to high school in the United Kingdom. I’ve been participating in
MUN since sophmore year of high school, and have represented various
countries in conferences in India, Europe, and the U.S. Outside of
Model UN and school (which leaves me with very little time), I enjoy reading,
swimming and most of all, playing and watching cricket. Along with the rest of
the Secretariat, I’ll do my best to make sure that this conference is an
experience of a lifetime for you. I look forward to seeing you all very soon,
and do not hesitate to mail me or any other member of our awesome secretariat
with any query that you might have. Peace.

ANANT AGARWALLA DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS |
| Hometown: |
New York, NY |
| Major:
| | Political Science, Economics
My name is Anant Agarwalla, and I am a sophomore at Duke University. I
was born in India, but I spent about eight years in England before moving to New
York in 1999. I attended my first Model UN conference in my sophomore year of
high school and enjoyed it so much that I have been involved since. I love
to read, I have a lot of fun cooking (though I’m not very good … yet), and I
just recently picked up playing the guitar. I check my email obsessively,
so if you ever have any questions regarding the conference, feel free to email
me and I’ll get back to you as fast as I can. I look forward to a great
conference year, and I hope to see you there! Email: anant.agarwalla@duke.edu |

Hi everyone! My name is Danielle Nathan and I am currently a sophomore at Duke. I am originally from southern California, and I am in love with the beach and all things Californian. I am a huge fan of baseball (especially the Angels) and of course, I am a new fan of college basketball. | | Public Policy Studies, Political Science
Hi everyone! My name is Eric Kaufman and I am a sophomore at Duke. Last
summer, I worked as the Senior Intern for John McCain 2008. I have also worked
on four other political campaigns in addition to serving as the Chief
Republican Page of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2005. In case you were
wondering, I did know Mark Foley, but only in a professional way. I also serve
as a Vice President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and until recently, the
Duke Political Union. There's nothing I love more than Duke, the Cubs, and
politics. I love to talk about these things, so please engage me. Although my
role is mostly behind the scenes, I hope to meet some of you through my role
playing as an ambassador or military expert. Have a great
fall semester! Email: eric.kaufman@duke.edu |
